But for the last 20 years, 20 plus years, he has spent his days as a professor of systematic theology at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, which is where we met. And he served as my dissertation supervisor, mercifully, I should say. That was a delight. Thanks for saying that.

What is the Sabbath?

A Conversation with Dr. Joel Biermann, Author of "Day 7."

Dr. Joel Biermann has been one of the most helpful voices on Christian thought and life that I’ve encountered throughout my entire education.

Biermann is a long-time professor, pastor, and author within the confessional Lutheran world. He was also my Ph.D. dissertation supervisor and is a good friend.

We sat down together recently for a spirited discussion on a topic many Christians have begun to reconsider: Sabbath.
